We got back from a super trip to the Maritimes about a week ago. The weather was great, it wasn't quite tourist season yet so the traffic was light and we did and saw so many really, really neat things like the visit to Louisburg and visiting the Lt. Governor's mansion in Charlottetown where Canada was born. Here are some pictures of things and places that stick in my mind:
We walked on Cavendish Beach where the water was freezing cold, attended several caelidh's and heard talented musicians singing and playing the fiddle. Wow! We saw about 30 seals lounging on a sandbar when the tide was out. We had a late lunch at Rita's Tea Room at Big Pond, bought several of her CD's and met her son.
I'm a writer. I'm also a weaver and a spinner and a knitter. And sometimes I draw pictures. And I like to go bike riding or paddle around in my kayak. I like all kinds of things . . .
